epic things
Epic things to do -------------------- ----- Go to a fast food place. Tape a sign to the voicebox that says 'Broken, please yell!' -------- Send a text to a random mobile number saying; I've hidden the body...now what?! -------- Make a Where's Waldo action figure. Don't put him inside the box -------- To find a needle in a haystack, just burn the damn haystack -------- Kill everyone that stands in the way of world peace -------- Install clap activated lights at a concert hall -------- When a kid makes faces at you through his bus window, follow him home and make faces at him through his bedroom window at night -------- If you're just about to move house; strip any wallpaper from a main bedroom wall, then write in blood red paint "I WILL KILL AGAIN" in big letters. Then simply re-paper with something hideous -------- Go into a crowded room and shout, "HOW COULD YOU CHEAT ON ME?!". Whoever turns around is a bad person -------- Only like the post if you enjoyed! Like it with your tongue (if you can). If you can do it you're probably a good kisser Thanx!! Hope you enjoyed!!

This could be the chance of a lifetime for Doctor Who fans – 22 Tardises are about to go on sale in Edinburgh. The blue police boxes have been a feature of the city for 80 years but have now been designated “surplus to operational requirements” by Lothian and Borders Police Board and put up for sale. But before devoted Whovians start getting their wallets out, there are a few things they should probably know about the “Tardises”.The Edinburgh police boxes have sloped roofs, rather than the flat-topped design that inspired the Doctor’s time machine - and buyers would be required to paint them a different colour to the classic Tardis blue.No guide price has been given but offers must be submitted in sealed official envelopes and successful buyers are subject to a sales fee of £100 in addition to their final bids. The new owners would then have to obtain council permits to keep the boxes in their current positions or arrange to have the two-ton cast-iron structures removed - which in many cases would require further council approval, since 12 of the boxes are listed as historically significant.

The Times takes on Apple again, with report on taxes

Apple, for instance, was among the first tech companies to designate overseas salespeople in high-tax countries in a manner that allowed them to sell on behalf of low-tax subsidiaries on other continents, sidestepping income taxes, according to former executives. Apple was a pioneer of an accounting technique known as the "Double Irish With a Dutch Sandwich," which reduces taxes by routing profits through Irish subsidiaries and the Netherlands and then to the Caribbean. Today, that tactic is used by hundreds of other corporations -- some of which directly imitated Apple's methods, say accountants at those companies.
The advantages of Luxembourg are simple, say Apple executives. The country has promised to tax the payments collected by Apple and numerous other tech corporations at low rates if they route transactions through Luxembourg. Taxes that would have otherwise gone to the governments of Britain, France, the United States and dozens of other nations go to Luxembourg instead, at discounted rates.
"We set up in Luxembourg because of the favorable taxes," said Robert Hatta, who helped oversee Apple's iTunes retail marketing and sales for European markets until 2007. "Downloads are different from tractors or steel because there's nothing you can touch, so it doesn't matter if your computer is in France or England. If you're buying from Luxembourg, it's a relationship with Luxembourg."
