my thinking

Relationships are harder now because conversations became texting , arguments became phone calls , feelings became subliminal messages online . Sex became easy , the word “love” gets used out of context , insecurities have become your way of thinking . Getting jealous became a habit , trust has been lost , cheating became an accident , leaving became the only option & being hurt became natural

if u snort

If you snort Vyvanse in the bathroom at prom, you will end up dancing non-stop and very slut-like for the rest of the night. Also, if you take a 5 Hour Energy at post prom, smoke two cigarettes to stay awake, then go home and take your sleep meds, you will feel like you’re speed ballin’ and you’ll get paranoid about have a seizure or forgetting to breathe in your sleep. In the morning you will realize you got a total of 3 hours of sleep, your hair is ratty from sleeping on it when it’s curled and teased, and you will feel incredibly hung over. Best night of my life.

Adam Yauch Dead: Beastie Boys' MCA Dies After Battling Cancer

Adam Yauch, a member of the Beastie Boys who performed under the stage name MCA, is dead. The group confirmed the sad news on its website, issuing the following statement:
It is with great sadness that we confirm that musician, rapper, activist and director Adam "MCA" Yauch, founding member of Beastie Boys and also of the Milarepa Foundation that produced the Tibetan Freedom Concert benefits, and film production and distribution company Oscilloscope Laboratories, passed away in his native New York City this morning after a near-three-year battle with cancer. He was 47 years old.
Yauch's mother Frances told the New York Times that her son died at 9 a.m. Friday, surrounded by family, at Manhattan's New York-Presbyterian Hospital, to which he had been admitted on April 14.
In July 2009, Yauch announced that he would be receiving treatment for a cancerous tumor in his salivary gland, and that, as a result, the Beastie Boys would cancel some future shows and push back the release of a new album.
In 2011 it was erroneously reported that Yauch had beaten the disease. He responded to the rumor on the band's website, writing:
"Hello My Friends While I’m grateful for all the positive energy people are sending my way, reports of my being totally cancer free are exaggerated. I’m continuing treatment, staying optimistic and hoping to be cancer free in the near future."
Most recently, it appeared Yauch's health had taken a turn for the worse when he proved unable to attend the Beastie Boys' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on April 14.
Yauch and Michael "Mike D" Diamond first performed as the Beastie Boys with John Berry and Kate Schellenbach in 1981. Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz replaced Berry in 1982.
The permanent lineup of Yauch, Diamond and Horovitz released eight albums. On Saturday, May 5, HBO will air the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony honoring the Beastie Boys, who became just the third rap group to enter the Hall, after Run-D.M.C. (2009) and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five (2007). The band's albums have sold over 40 million copies worldwide.
Yauch was a practicing Buddhist who worked extensively on behalf of Tibet's oppressed Buddhist population. He was instrumental in organizing a series of Tibetan Freedom Concerts between 1996 and 2001, featuring acts including U2, Radiohead, and Run-D.M.C.
In 2008, Yauch told The Huffington Post that his first real exposure to the Free Tibet movement came after a chance encounter with a group of Tibetans who had been driven from their homeland. "I was in Nepal, and I met a group of Tibetans that had just come over the Himalayas that were heading to Dharamsala to hopefully meet the Dalai Lama and fleeing from the oppression they were facing and from that firsthand exposure, I started getting interested in it," he said.
Yauch was the only child of architect Noel Yauch and public school administrator Frances Yauch. He grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from the progressive Edward R. Murrow High School in 1982 and attended Bard College for two years before dropping out.
Yauch married Dechen Wangdu in 1998, three years after they met at a Harvard event for the Dalai Lama. Wangdu, who has been an active member of Students for a Free Tibet, the U.S. Tibet Committee, and the Tibetan Women's Association, also appeared in the 1998 documentary "Free Tibet," which was produced by Yauch. The couple has a daughter, Tenzin Losel Yauch, who was born in September 1998. Tenzin, known as Losel to friends, can be heard briefly on the Beastie Boy's track "Shazam!"
In recent years, Yauch also branched out into film, forming Oscilloscope Laboratories, a production and distribution company whose credits include "We Need to Talk About Kevin, "Wendy and Lucy" and the Banksy documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop." In 2008, Oscilloscope distributed Yauch's directorial debut, "Gunnin' For That #1 Spot," a 90-minute documentary about high school basketball players in New York.
In 2011, Yauch received the Charles Flint Kellogg Award in Arts and Letters from Bard College. The award is given in recognition of a "significant contribution to the American artistic or literary heritage."

Jamie Lynn Toler Faked Cancer For Breast Implant Money, Police Say

Jamie Lynn Toler

PHOENIX — A Phoenix woman has been charged with fraud and theft after authorities say she told people she had cancer and needed treatment so she could get money from them to buy breast implants.
Police reports filed in Maricopa County Superior Court say 27-year-old Jamie Lynn Toler told her former boss she needed a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction and was uninsured. She also told the tale to her mother and grandparents.
Authorities say Toler helped organize fundraisers and collected more than $8,000 beginning in September.
Medical records obtained by Mesa police show she didn't have cancer and paid a plastic surgeon with the cash.
Toler was arrested Wednesday and released on bond Thursday after a brief initial court appearance.
A telephone message left for Toler by The Associated Press on Friday wasn't immediately returned.

Ana Juarez, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Allegedly Stole $6,000 In Cookie Money

Girlscoutcookie

Apparently she didn't get the "integrity" memo in the Girl Scouts handbook.
A South El Monte, Calif., Girl Scout troop leader was caught with her hand in the cookie jar last month when authorities discovered she allegedly stole $6,000 from her own girls, CBS reported.
Cops announced this week that Ana Juarez, 30, was arrested on April 17 for allegedly using the troop's debit card to treat herself to a shopping spree.
"It was just shocking to see that we became her own personal piggy bank: gas, nails, Nordstroms, Victoria's Secret," troop co-leader Verna de los Reyes told the station.
About $2,000 was missing from the troop's debit account, along with $4,000 in cash that was raised during the Girl Scout cookie sale, de los Reyes said.
But the cash reportedly didn't even make it to Juarez's own bank account before she spent it, the Pasadena Star-News reported. A troop mom told CBS that the girls had sold more than 500 boxes of cookies for a Girl Scout competition and the chance at a limousine ride, but now there's not enough money for the venture.
The alleged cookie cash thief had a 6-year-old daughter in the troop before she was arrested. She was charged with felony grand theft.

Brian Downing, Alabama Crimson Fan, Sued By LSU Fan For Simulated Sex Act

Alabama Fan Abuses Lsu Fan

NEW ORLEANS -- The Alabama man accused of committing sexual battery on an unconscious LSU fan after the BCS championship football game is being sued.
The LSU fan filed a lawsuit Friday against Brian Downing of Smiths Station, Ala. Downing's lawyer declined comment Friday night, saying he hadn't had a chance to read the lawsuit because neither he nor his client had been served.
Downing, 32, was booked on charges of sexual battery and obscenity but the New Orleans district attorney has until June 20 to decide whether to prosecute.
A video that went viral on the Internet is believed to have been taken at a fast-food restaurant after Alabama defeated LSU on Jan. 9. A man clad in Crimson Tide attire appears to perform a simulated sex act on the LSU fan.
The lawsuit does not specify a dollar figure for damages. It says the LSU fan suffered "mental anguish, humiliation, embarrassment, anxiety and depression ... damage to reputation" and lost tuition payments "for having to withdraw from school."

lenachen: So! The above was filmed two years ago when I was a college senior. I had just met filmmaker Therese Shechter who was working on the documentary HOW TO LOSE YOUR VIRGINITY, and we were both attending an abstinence conference being held at Harvard. It was the first spark of inspiration for the Rethinking Virginity conference I planned later that spring. My 22-year-old self’s camera presence aside, Therese’s awesome project is now so close to being completed but we need your help! In her words: Our goal for How To Lose Your Virginity is to undo centuries of myths and contradictions around virginity, and to encourage an honest conversation with people navigating the confusing process of deciding when and why to become sexual. What do a rock violinist, an Ivy League blogger and an Ohio engineer have in common? They’re all subverting the virginity narrative in our film. We’re excited to be back with a second Kickstarter campaign to raise money to finish up the film this fall, hire our composer and animator and license our footage. We are so close to being done, but we can’t finish without a successful fundraiser. BUT - If we don’t reach our funding goal by May 9th, we don’t get anything. She has 9 days to raise an additional $10,000 on Kickstarter to reach their $35,000 goal (otherwise, they get none of it at all). I’ve been discussing the above topics with Therese for years, and this conversation is sadly STILL as relevant today as ever: Since we debuted the film’s first trailer on Vimeo, we’ve had over 60,000 views, hundreds of blog posts and an overwhelming number of people speaking to each other through our online crowd-sourced First Person story series. Demand for this kind of information is so high, the trailer is already being used in university Human Sexuality classes across North America. That said, independent films are notoriously difficult to finance and Therese can’t do it alone! I’m not in the habit of asking for readers for money, but having followed the evolution of the film, I can attest that Therese is the real deal and the stories she’s uncovered in her research represent such a diverse array of sexualities and experiences. They deserve to be shared with young Americans today! If you can make a pledge (even a dollar helps!), head over to the fundraising page on Kickstarter and check out some of the awesome rewards for donating. And please, please, please help get the word out about this important project by doing the following: Tell your friends, your feminist group, your peer educators, your teachers, etc. about this film and the fundraising campaign!Support Therese’s other great work (I Was A Teenage Feminist, the animated short-short Womanly Perfection, How I Learned to Speak Turkish)Check out HOW TO LOSE YOUR VIRGINITY’s blog, Facebook, or Twitter and reblog this post on Tumblr! Thanks a ton, folks :) Four more days, they’re almost there! Please donate if you can!
