Due to a very weak cap and an old frontal boundary , small t-storms will fire 30 miles either side of a line from Gainesville-McKinney-Tyler-Louisiana border and then drift south. Because of sinking air over north Texas, the individual storms should not last very long.

A few showers and thunderstorms are developing along a weak front that was located from Gainesville to Greenville to Tyler. The front was slowly moving to the southwest...but the showers and storms were moving south and southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing moderate to heavy rain...lightning...and gusty winds. Activity should dissipate in the evening hours after sunset.
